Aparna N V completed her Bachelor’s degree (B.E) in Medical Electronics from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bengaluru, India in 2017. Her interests lie in biomedical engineering applications, instrumentation as well as engaging in interdisciplinary projects. She was a part of the undergraduate project team in Medical Imaging Research Centre (MIRC) where she worked on very low field MRIs. She has also worked on other projects like a speech synthesizer that aids communication for speech impaired patients using Arduino, a robotic arm that performs wash mechanism in biochemistry analysers, designing and building gradient coils.
Gulabi Mandal completed her Electronics and Communication Engineering (B.Tech) from Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore, India, in 2017. She is proficient in Analog and Digital Electronics, Embedded Systems Engineering, Embedded C Programing, PYTHON Programming and has also engaged in interdisciplinary projects. She was an intern at M/S Techno Science Instruments during her BE. Her project, The Smart Water Meter using Wireless Networking using GSM modules and PIC microcontroller, proposed a new volume based tariff system for distribution of water. Her project got selected for the 40th series SPP,KSCST state level exhibition 2016-17. Apart from academics she also has a passion for hockey. She trains at Karnataka State Hockey Academy (KSHA) and will be giving her selections for the Women’s Senior National Hockey Team, Sept-2017.
Vishnu Priya P
She has completed her Bachelors in Electronics and Communications Engineering from VVIT, Andhra Pradesh in 2011. She worked as a software Engineer at Mphasis till 2014. She is well versed with programming languages and is interested in applying the same in the field of biomedical applications. Right now, she is working as a research assistant to enhance her skills by developing algorithms in image processing in the field of biomedical applications. Her interest is to translate engineering knowledge into biomedical devices.
She completed her Bachelor’s degree from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and Master’s Degree from IIT Madras, both in Electrical Engineering. She worked in Qualcomm Bangalore Design Center as a front end RTL Engineer. After that she worked as Teaching and Research Assistant for one year in North Carolina State University, USA and for five years in Western University, Canada. She has extensively worked in Processor Architectures, Arithmetic Logical Unit of Crypto Processors, Reliable Fault Detection Architecture, Error-Control Coding and Code-based Cryptography. Now as a Research Assistant in BEES Lab, she is trying to apply her knowledge of ASIC implementation into Biomedical Engineering.
He has completed his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Gujarat technological university (GTU) (2016). His proficiency lies in CAD and Analysis software such as PTC Creo, Solidworks, Catia V5, AutoCAD and ANSYS. He has a PTC Creo certification. Apart from software skills, he is having good knowledge of mechanical structural design and optimization. He is a part of global community ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers). He has been a chairman at student section and also the main coordinator for ASME student professional development conference. He and his team have participated and secured top rankings in Asia pacific HPVC (Human Powered Vehicle Challenge) where they designed and manufactured future HPV. He has also represented INDIA for the project named “Innovative nosecone design for aircraft” in the “ASME Innovative design and simulation challenge (IDSC)” held in Boston, MA, the USA in August-2015. He conducted CAD training classes prior to join BEES lab.He is interested in a research field where he can apply his domain’s knowledge at BEES lab.
His hobbies are dancing, playing the mouth organ, marathon running, cycling and trekking. He has represented India as an international skater in the Singapore inline cup-2008.
He is a 2017 B.Tech graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Government Engineering College Barton Hill, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He and His team developed an automated PCB dismantler which got selected to the finals of National Instruments Student System Design Contest – NIYANTHRA 2017. He is proficient with C++, Java, Python and core LabVIEW.
As an Intern at BEES Lab he aims to utilize his time in developing Image processing solutions for Biomedical Applications and also develop a deeper understanding of Computer Vision.
He has completed his Bachelors (2013-17) in Mechanical Engineering from Govt. Engineering College Bartonhill, Trivandrum. His interest lies in Mechanical designing, fabrication, Mechatronics system design, Concept development, Quadcopter designing, flying, RC plane designing, fabrication. He leads a team which designed, fabricated a single seater car with super-milage from scratch and competed in Shell Eco-Marathon Asia 2016 held in Manila, Philippines, Cleared technical inspection and clocked a milage of 200km/L of petrol. He was a Mechanical/Mechatronics system designer of a team which made a machine to separate specific electronic components from a PCB automatically, and the project selected as one of the finalist projects of NIYANTRA 2016, conducted by National Instruments India.
He is very good at Quadcopter freestyle flying, quadcopter design, RC plane design, and fabrication. He did a Research internship from R&D, Automotive Aftermarket Division, 3M India. Website: http://saeedrila.com
